Please join 988Manhattan on Thursday, June 29th as we present Tutes latest photography project “Worth the Picture Still,” where he documents the intimacy of little moments through images of his grandmother in her home in Ecuador.

We are excited to share his work with our community and hope you will join us for an evening of drinks, discussion and photography.

As you may know, a recent study found that Instagram is most likely, of all the social apps, to cause young people to feel depressed and lonely. It got us thinking, what are the implications of the most influential social platform for the photography industry also being the most damaging platform to our mental health?

An Instagram influencer himself, Tutes constantly feels the pressure to post photos for likes as followers have become currency in our social media landscape. Creatively exhausted with that type of photography, in his current collection “Worth the Picture Still,” Tutes returns to the roots of photography as form of documentation and ultimately projects an appreciation of human life.
